Founders Federal Credit Union supports PBIS program at Union County High School
Founders Federal Credit Union presented a $5,000 check to Union County High School's Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) program.
The program was implemented through the coordinated efforts of the Union County School District and the South Carolina Department of Education. "The program is a decision-making framework that guides selection, integration and implementation of the best scientifically based academic and behavioral practices for improving important student academic and behavior outcomes for all students," said PBIS Committee Chairperson Sonya Glenn. "The goals of the program are to eliminate student tardiness, maximize student achievement and enhance school climate."
Founders' partnership and contribution will allow Union County High School to acknowledge, reward and display the accomplishments of the students, as well as faculty and staff.
Founders Regional Vice President Keith Wilson and Bob Atkins, Vice President of the North Grove, Spartanburg East and Gaffney locations, presented the check to Union County High School Principal Floyd Lyles, Assistant Principal Jenelle Gilliam, PBIS Committee Chair Sonya Glenn and UCHS staff member Carolyn Hardy.
